The original now in the British Museum is Greek probably 9th or 8th century BC yet it appears to be totally contemporary. The varied ribbing effects in metal are typical of this transitional period between the metalwork of the Mycenaean period around 1100 B.C. and the beginnings of the Greek archaic period. Striking, yet simple, this bracelet will bring pleasure to its owner because of its design and the engraved exhortation.
