A beautiful Victorian inspired Vintage snake bangle made by renowned Birmingham jewellers Smith & Pepper in the mid 20th Century.
The bangle features a durable steel spring within which has been rolled in 9ct Yellow Gold, leading up to the serpent’s delicately engraved head with two deep red Rubies set as the eyes.
Serpent jewellery became popular in the Victorian era and symbolized a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship with their coiled shape representing an infinite, everlasting bond.
It is a wonderful talking piece and complete with the makers initials and Birmingham hallmarks on the back of the head which date it to 1966.
